Keeping in the spirit of true craftsmanship, our designers manually match the colors of your image to our color palette, giving vibrant color to your woven piece. Subtle hue variances are normal and to be expected as a result of interwoven threads or stitching.

Fashion Design

In the spirit of You Design, why not create your own fashion statement with a poncho.

Can you think of a more spectacular gift? From your artistic palette, onto the loom, and behold, a one-of-a-kind wonder of warmth and style that you created for that someone special.

The throw you'll be using is the Medium, measuring approximately 54" x 43" including the fringe. You choose the border color (approx. 3" at back and front bottom and 2" at arms plus fringe).

The size of your artwork should be 8" width x 10" height. The 10" will be divided into two (5" for poncho front and 5" for back) where the neck opening will be. The photo or scan specifications are the same as for any other item: 8" x 10"  at 300 dpi.

The sample design shown here was simulated in Adobe Photoshop. You may prefer to paint, draw in colors or ink lines, etc. on smooth water color paper. Keep in mind that this 8" x 10" format will be enlarged five times. What may seem a little too busy will be enlarged and appear differently.   

The throw you receive for your poncho will not be precut. This allows you to adapt the neck style you want. You only need to stitch a narrow neck area (prevents unraveling), then cut and sew on a cotton ribbon binding to match your colors.

A child's painting is a joy to behold. There's something about the simplicity, boldness, and purity that enchants, be it a toddler's gouache finger smear abstract or a more adept piece by a pre-teen. One thing for sure, we parents will treasure them always.

Note:Original Art and finished loom colors will differ slightly because of the nature of the thread weaving. On the other had, our clients tell us that if the original is attractive, the loom creation will be equal or even more attractive because of the warm textures and tactiel qualities.

A window swag or valance is created using the Large Photo Throw, stitched lengthwise to avoid unraveling then cut, creating two long panels. These will be joined with the fringe removed. Raw edges will be finished with cotton binding ribbon. Your total valance size (minus fringe in center) will be approximately 130" x 24".

The design pattern is repeated twice, and a loop is formed in the top edge to insert a curtain rod.
